PhD student at ICFO - The Institute of Photonic Sciences
I am currently a PhD student in the Nano-Optoelectronics Group lead by Prof. Frank Koppens at ICFO - The Institute of Photonic Sciences in Castelldefels (Barcelona), Spain. I hold a M.Sc. in Photonics and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.
My research is focused on optoelectronics with graphene and mid infrared light. We use near-field microscopy to explore the properties and possibilities of graphene plasmons. Moreover we use scanning photocurrent microscopy to explore the optoelectronic properties of graphene in the mid-infrared. Our research is published in leading journals, such as Nature Materials, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Photonics, etc.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, running, eating, making paella and exploring Barcelona and the surroundings. I also spend a lot of time thinking about science, technology and the financial markets.
